It's not in the IFES doctrinal basis, occurs only once in the 39 Articles, and after Q1 is incidental in the Westminster Catechism. Luther was famously suspicious of its theologians. In prayer and praise, however, it's innate: the glory of God. Evangelicals are big on the gospel, and big on mission. But what is the relationship between the gospel and glory? What happens when that relationship is skewed? How do we preserve a robust expression of doctrine, such that it must lead to doxology?
